    LiveDocument is part of the Upscope family of products, and is fully aligned with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — ensuring a high standard of data protection and privacy for users across Europe.

    Minimal data collection

    We collect only the metadata needed to run the product: viewer email (if provided), IP address, page views, and timestamps.

    Automatic data deletion

    Viewer data is automatically deleted after a defined period of inactivity.

    Clear data roles

    LiveDocument acts as the data controller for customer account information and as a data processor for viewer data handled on your behalf.

    No third-party sharing

    Viewer data is never sold, and is only shared with the sub-processors needed to run the product.

    Secure storage

    Data is stored in secure AWS data centers, as part of the Upscope family's shared infrastructure.

    Transparent policies

    Our privacy policy is kept up to date, with a designated point of contact for data protection questions.

    How we process data

    LiveDocument acts as the controller for your account information, billing details, and usage of the product. For the people you share documents with, we act as the processor, handling their data only according to your instructions.
